An article by has triggers my interest in blogging about it. Trust us, we hardly post anything that is not original but this article by Tiffany Yannetta was so good that we find it inspirational and we would love for our readers to read about it.

This week, we take you to the London headquarters of The Outnet, one of our favorite shopping sites that sells past-season goods and exclusive products from over 200 designers. Since their warehouse contains merchandise from Stella McCartney, Balmain, Alexander McQueen, Marni, and more, the team behind the site has endless inspiration to choose from for their daily work outfits.

Eve Thomas, Senior Fashion Editor: I like to mix and match luxe pieces with more casual items. I might pair a statement skirt with a classic tee, or a cocktail dress with a leather jacket. I’m also a big fan of color and print and tend to wear one bold piece with more neutrals items.

Style advice: Invest in the very best wardrobe basics you can afford. These will see you through for years to come. Every girl should own the following: a trench coat, a pencil skirt, a pair of cropped pants, a leather jacket, and a tailored blazer, plus a selection of T-shirts and cashmere knits in neutral colors. You can then update these every season with a handful of trend items. Be bold with your accessories. It’s the easiest way to update an outfit—a statement necklace will instantly transform a basic tee, and a pair of color-pop shoes will add interest to a LBD.

Style advice: Don’t hide yourself away in black because it’s safe or you have been told it is “slimming”. Color and print can add an edge to your style and give you a confidence you didn’t know you had. It’s always worth investing in accessories: A statement bag, pair of shoes or necklace will last you seasons. Do your research; see what is on offer, and invest wisely.

Mo White, Creative Director: My style is minimal, directional, and stylish, often with a ’60s or ’80s signature. I have a capsule wardrobe of great pieces that I love and can work with anything. I like to add a tough element to my look, whether that be a tailored jacket with a quirky edge (Wang does some really great ones), a pair of leather trousers or doing something as simple as turning up the collar on my jacket. I know my body shape very well and I dress to enhance my height and shape.

Style advice: Top tip? Take t-shirts to the dry cleaners before their first wear and the heat will bond the jersey so the fabric will wear better!

Style advice: Always wear amazing heels, but bring a pair of flats in your bag. Don’t be afraid to express your personality in clothes! And a good haircut is your best accessory.

So take me for example, Aliaa! Lazy to dress up on a given day (anyday will be my casual friday) but I dress messy with dressy (duh!), no matter what you do girls, skinny jeans with v-neck thirts. You can always mix it with a lovely bangles and casually stroll with your hobo bag! a little pop of color will go a long way! You don’t have to know fashion to be fashionably, all you need is some key pieces that you can mix it with anything.

Yesterday, Madison Avenue Spy highlighted an intriguing (if questionable) cobbler practice of adding red soles to shoes that don’t happen to be Christian Louboutins — or in need of repair for that matter — by customer request.

Given the shoe label’s ongoing run of design infringement-based lawsuits (most recently waged against red-bottomed styles by YSL and Brazil-based Carmen Steffens), we figured it would be particularly difficult to track the service down elsewhere. Not so.

Lexington Avenue-based Empire Shoe Repair’s crew was happy to walk us through the hour-long, $34 process — from shaving down city-worn (or new) soles to adding traction to footbeds to prevent sidewalk slips. (In the case of genuine Louboutins, only the front half of the shoe is altered and the label logo is kept intact; for others, the only way to tell the difference is to take a close look at the Louboutin imprint-less inner arch.) And yes: While the practice is meant for Louboutin owners intending to maintain their soles, it’s clear that non-owners are cashing in on the look — and that local cobblers are cashing in on offering the service.

A handful of other city sources offer the service, too. Looking for a Loub job of your own? Try one of these shops:

$34 at Empire Shoe Repair, 911 Lexington Avenue; 212-744-1257
$17 at Erik Shoe Repair, 353 Grand Street; 212-673-0507
$25 at Cobbler Express, 60 Wall Street; 212-809-9814
$18-$24 at Star Shoe Repair at 60 Bleecker Street; 212-505-9255
$34.75 at Jim’s Shoe Repair, 50 East 59th Street; 212-355-8259

Hmm, honest opinion from us. Just don’t get anything fake 🙂

Soi66 has always been a fan and super excited for the US flagship store! If only we get to go for the launch. Ever since we saw the Spring 2011 collection! We were sold to the new rebel look of it (hey! Soi66 have the same sense of fashion, you know what I mean?)! If you don’t know what we are excited about. Let us introduce you to, Mackage!

or you can visit their official website :

Yay or Nay? and most of our readers and clients agree that they are uber excited over Sephora… few months has passed and yet we still haven’t heard anything about Sephora development for Malaysia.

Sephora is amazingly cool, since last year I have been hearing of rumors that Sephora is coming to Malaysia (ever since Stila closed its doors in Malaysia). We even write a post about our excitement over this. Can you imagine having to purchase NARS (mind you that we ADORE this brand of make-up). 0o0oh amazingly cool for all Malaysian girls.

This is the image of Sephora outside of StarHill looks futuristic and expensive! let’s hope that’s not the case for the make-up (we want it to be affordable as possible). YTL was actually going to build a structure just to house Sephora!! “Yes, the makeup giant we all know, SEPHORA!” a friend said to me *excited* There is no news yet on when it’s supposed to open, so I guess we’ll just have to wait for it.

Let’s hope, Malaysians can now get their hands on cosmetic and skincare brands that have been so elusive to everyone, and hopefully not at an exorbitant price! Again that is our main concern for everyone! 🙂 as you know Soi66 is fashion affordable!

Lastly, let me show you something *envy much?* kill me… 🙂

I love New York City! 🙂
Til next time, I am sure we will get more on Sephora! The opening might even have Blake Lively in Malaysia and please bring Penn Badgley along? yes? Nay?

Yes, I’m still alive. Don’t worry about the lack of posts from me in New York City. It has been a crazy month full of assignments, events, and most importantly…laziness. I swear I have a lot to talk about and it has been a great month (November and December just started)

Let’s see what’s happened since I last updated….

I discovered this yesterday and it was a mind-blowing moment for me.

In Add Minus is a brand of contemporary clothes for women and men with a pricepoint like Zara’s – but its difference is that the fabrics and quality are a cut above. It’s a great place for men and women to buy well-cut work clothes, suits (around $600) blouses and leather jackets (around $400). The brand is owned by a Malaysian company, and just opened a store in the Century City Mall, Santa Monica, California. The intend to open other boutiques in New York and Miami and Costa Mesa in 2011. New York’s is planned for this January (our heart is beating). The last time we heard, this company is not playing games! The cast from Glee and Gossip Girl is a fan already and they showed their support at the launch event. Let’s jump in the van with them, shall we?

*ehem* who ever you are, contact us 😛 we would love to get a glimpse of this awesome collection in New York City! We will definitely update you more on In Add Minus! Soi66 is uber excited.

We’re excited, are you?
